Spanish Springs High School (NV) Case Study

Spanish Springs High School has steadily built itself into one of the most competitive football programs in Nevada under Head Coach Rob Hummel. That growth reached another level in 2025.

The Cougars finished the season 13–0, never trailing at any point all year. They captured both a Regional Championship and the 5A State Championship for the first time in school history, finishing as the #2 team in Nevada (behind only fellow GameStrat team Bishop Gorman) and #132 in the country.

Coach Hummel’s impact on the program was recognized as well, earning the 2025 Tom Flores High School Coach of the Year award from the Las Vegas Raiders.
