GameStrat has been a leader in in-game video replay for close to a decade, providing replay to over 1,000+ football teams across the country. In 2024, NCAA teams were allowed to use in-game video technology for the first time. GameStrat quickly became the go-to choice, with over 70% of Division I FCS teams using the system, including 7 of the final 8 playoff teams.
Among these teams was Tarleton State's football program, which made history in their first season at the FCS level after reclassifying from Division II. The Texans earned a playoff spot as the #13 seed, an impressive accomplishment for a team in its debut season. With an average of 18,697 fans per game, the Texans ranked 4th in attendance out of 129 FCS programs, showcasing the strong support behind their success.
With the highest win percentage among any Division I or Division II teams in the state of Texas since 2018, the Texans have built a winning tradition. GameStrat is proud to be a small part of their ongoing success, providing tools to help them stay competitive at the highest level.

Quick Setup, Big Impact
When sideline tablets were approved, many teams had limited time to get set up before their first game. The Texans received their iPads on the Thursday before their first Saturday game and didn't have a bunch of time to get acclimated like they normally would.
Tarleton State’s Video Coordinator, Brady Camp, explained how GameStrat made a challenging process easier:
The support team was more than helpful getting us started. They hopped on calls to make sure we were good to go. Once we got comfortable, the setup became easy, and the clips loaded instantly on the iPads.
Despite receiving their equipment just days before the season opener, GameStrat’s user-friendly system allowed the Texans to hit the ground running.

Before in-game video, coaches relied on verbal feedback from players & coaches, trying to piece things together to make adjustments during games. GameStrat changed that by delivering video of each play to the sidelines in seconds. Video Coordinator Brady Camp shared how this impacted their team:
Plays are on the iPad seconds after they happen. That information is huge for playcallers and anyone making adjustments.
Offensive Coordinator Adam Austin added:
The biggest thing was speeding up the adjustment process. Instead of waiting until halftime, we got the info instantly and relayed it to the players right away.

Easy to Use, Powerful Features
GameStrat is designed to work seamlessly without adding extra hassle for coaches or video staff. Brady explained:
Once it’s set up, my student worker runs the laptop sending the video feed to the iPads. The filmers don’t have to do anything different—we just grab their feed, and that’s it.
Key features like slow motion and picture-in-picture made it even easier for coaches to break down plays and teach players during the game.
Switching between camera angles is super simple. Other systems make you search for different views, but with GameStrat, everything loads at once.

GameStrat helped Tarleton State’s coaches and players stay one step ahead in their first FCS season. With instant video and an easy-to-use system, the Texans could focus on what mattered most: competing at the highest level. GameStrat is proud to support programs like Tarleton State, providing tools that make a real difference on gameday.
