Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Extends GameStrat Partnership Through 2028

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference has extended its partnership with GameStrat through the 2028 football season. GameStrat will continue to provide in-game video replay technology to all six MEAC football programs: Delaware State, Howard, Morgan State, Norfolk State, North Carolina Central, and South Carolina State.

The two sides first partnered in 2025. After one season, the MEAC committed to three more years.

Since making the switch to GameStrat, our coaches stopped talking about their technology going wrong, and started talking about what it let them do differently on game day. That's an incredible indicator for us. Our Staffs trust their video in the moments that decide a game, and when they need support, someone at GameStrat answers right away. Three more years wasn't a hard call once we saw what that reliability did for the level of competition across the conference.Wyatt Sutton, Assistant Commissioner, Championships and Sport Administration, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference

What The Agreement Covers

Through 2028, GameStrat will continue to equip every MEAC program with:

  • In-game video replay for all football programs, available on the sideline and in the press box as each play ends.
  • A private wireless network built to hold up under full stadium load, independent of stadium WiFi.
  • On-call game day support throughout the entire season.
Three more years with the MEAC tells you exactly where GameStrat stands at the FCS level. But that's not something we get to sit on. Between now and 2028, our job is making sure every coach, every player, and every support call gets treated like it's the biggest game of the season, because for someone on that sideline, it already is. We are proud to extend our partnership with the MEAC through 2028. Tunch Akkaya, CEO at GameStrat

About the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference

The MEAC is made of eight HBCU's along the Atlantic seaboard, headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia. Six of those schools have football programs:

Founded in 1970, the conference enters the 2026–27 academic year in its 56th year of intercollegiate competition. Sonja O. Stills has served as MEAC Commissioner since 2022, the first woman to hold the role and the only woman currently serving as Commissioner of a Division I HBCU athletic conference.

South Carolina State enters the season as the reigning MEAC and Cricket Celebration Bowl Champion.

The MEAC is the third conference in 2026 to extend with GameStrat for multiple seasons.
